Here is a beautiful way to bring horse presence to the night.
We might call them night lights today, but these particular night lights are reproduction lithophanes (Greek, "Vision in stone")
They became popular in the mid 1800's, when it was discovered that realistic three dimensional images could be created from
porcelain carved in varying thicknesses. The lithophanes on sale here are reproductions of those original lithophanes.
The images are still made of porcelain and therefore are reasonably fragile and are not recommended for areas occupied
by rambunctious children or pets.
These lithophanes are so spectacular when illuminated, you'll find yourself looking forward to the dark when you can switch them on.
Illumination is provided by a standard 25 watt candelabra bulb (supplied).

Titled "Morning Run" this reproduction lithophane shows two horses out in a meadow. It has a curved porcelain image, attached by thumb screws to a plug-in lamp. The lamp can be attached to the top or bottom edge of the porcelain screen, so it can work in upside down sockets too.
